As specialists in three materials, our bespoke casement windows are available in timber, aluminium and alu-clad, and are completely tailored to your self-build, home renovation or improvement project.

No matter what material you choose, casement windows are a classic style and they look beautiful in both contemporary and traditional homes. But how do they open?

How do casement windows work?

Based on the traditional British window, the window is attached to the frame by one or more hinges on either side. There are a few different configurations available, and the opener/s can be top hung or side hung.

Can casement windows open inwards and outwards?

Some casement windows can open both inwards and outwards but traditionally they only open outwards, away from your home – which is exactly how our bespoke casement windows open, outwards only.
