We care about the environment at Kloeber and, as the energy efficiency of windows and doors can have an impact on it, we like to make sure all of our front, bifold, sliding and French doors, and casement, tilt and turn and other windows are just that – energy efficient!

With all of our glass options and material options; timber, aluminium and alu-clad, you can look forward to low U-values as each material and glass is a great insulator. This means your new windows and doors will retain heat well and allow you to be less reliant on your central heating, in turn reducing your carbon footprint and your energy bills.

What is a U-value?

Unsure as to what we mean by U-value? This is the measurement of heat transfer through the frames and glass of our windows and doors – the lower the U-Value the better the door or window is at keeping the heat in. Many of our doors and windows boast a U-value as low as 0.7 W/m2K and are therefore a more energy efficient solution compared to the UPVC alternative, Read our “what is a U-value?” FAQ to find out more.

Not only are our doors and windows energy efficient, but they’re sustainable and eco-friendly too! Check out our “Are Kloeber’s doors and windows sustainable and eco-friendly?” blog where we explain why.
