If you’re thinking about incorporating exterior French doors into your self-build, home renovations or improvements, you’re most definitely going to want to know more about what sizes they come in.

As we’re specialists in bespoke, made-to-measure glazing solutions that are tailored to your property, it’s probably obvious that our exterior French doors don’t come in standard sizes. However, there are some maximum and minimum heights and widths that you may want to be aware of before you make your decision as to whether French doors are the right option for you.

What are the maximum and minimum sizes?

With three different material options to choose from; timber, aluminium and alu-clad, there are, of course, various maximum and minimum heights and widths for our different types of exterior French doors.

Our timber exterior French doors have a minimum width of 950mm and a maximum width of 2,100mm, and a minimum height of 1,700mm and a maximum height of 2,600mm.

Our aluminium exterior French doors have slightly larger maximum widths and heights compared to our timber, with a minimum width of 980mm and a maximum width of 2,600mm, and a minimum height of 1,700mm and a maximum height of 3,000mm.

Our alu-clad French doors have similar maximum and minimum widths and heights as our timber option, with a minimum width of 960mm and a maximum width of 2,150mm, and a minimum height of 1,750mm and a maximum height of 2,400mm.

Don’t forget, even with these maximum and minimum sizes, your French doors will be completely custom to you!
