Are you looking for a new front door? We like to call them entrance doors here at Kloeber and you may be wondering why? So let’s address this first…

What is an entrance door?

To us, we call our front doors entrance doors as they are the door to the entrance of your home, and your entrance door isn’t always on the front of your property, it might be on the side. But in all honesty, we just like the term entrance over front – it’s as simple as that!

No matter what you call them though, we know you’ve probably got some questions that need to be answered before you can fully decide what you want for your home, so we thought we’d do just that. Here it goes…

Which front door material is best?

The choice of material for your front or entrance door really depends on your requirements. The look and feel of your home and whether you prefer a contemporary or more traditional design will most likely sway you one way or the other.

So let’s talk about the two options we have at Kloeber; timber and aluminium…

As our timber is engineered, our timber entrance doors are designed to stand the test of time, so you do not need to worry about warping, shrinking or any change in size. Our multi-coat microporous paint system also means you don’t need to repaint your entrance door for many years – dissolving the bad reputation that timber often gets.

What about the style of timber entrance doors?

Timber is extremely versatile when it comes to design and style, and it can look and feel both modern and classic, suiting contemporary and period properties – perfect!

Check out our different timber front door styles including our more modern FunkyFront and Euro FunkyFront doors, and our more classic KlassicFront and RetroFront doors, to see which style you prefer.

Our aluminium entrance doors are also super durable and pretty much maintenance-free too, just as with our timber options. We also use a special powder-coated finish on our aluminium entrance doors to make them even more sturdy.

What about the style of aluminium entrance doors?

Aluminium is known for being more modern in design and it looks absolutely stunning when matched with a home of a similar style. Adding an aluminium entrance door to a more traditional property isn’t a no go though, as it can add a real contrasting and quirky feel.

Which front door is most secure?

Neither our aluminium or timber entrance doors are more secure than the other. They’re both super strong and are fitted with multi point locking systems. Our FunkyFront designs have even won a Secured by Design certification! Which means these products have undergone rigorous testing for security, along with functionality, design, weather tightness and durability.

Which front door colour?

Colour is definitely down to personal choice and with almost all of our entrance doors, you can have any colour you wish with our RAL colours!

Our Euro entrance doors are the only doors which come in a few standard colours – to help keep your cost down whilst still benefiting from the same popular design and durability of the FunkyFront style.

Why not add a splash of colour to the entrance of your home with a…

Orange door

OR a…

Lilac door

OR even a…

Blue door

Of course, all of our timber doors are available in natural wood stains and you can also stick to the more popular colours, like black, white and grey, with each of our timber and aluminium entrance doors too.

Which type of front door is best?

As you’ve probably worked out by now, the best front/entrance door for your home depends mostly on you, the buyer. And as our aluminium and timber doors are pretty much as durable, secure, eco-friendly and maintenance-free as each other, it really is down to the look and feel of your home and the design and style you are after.
